The exchange rates are okay, the staff is okay however sometimes I find it hard to get my problems fixed if I don't speak dutch; and hospitality, over the phone, could be improved.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this bank because of the following reasons:

I had to pay my university (Dutch) I thought I could just use Online Banking, however, the system is so outdated as A TAN code was the only option. I tried to pay it from the US, where I did NOT had my Dutch Sim card. Therefore, I realized there is no possibility to do that. When I call them to find a way, they tell me I need to 1) Come to the bank or 2) Change my Address and request to change my SIM card so I can get TAN code possibility for the US number. I tried 1) option by calling ING in NYC, but they don't have any connection with each other. Then I opted for 2) which caused the most damage. I changed my address and requested to receive a letter so I can activate the TAN Code thing on my American Phone Number. The problem with that is that IT TOLD ME AFTERWARDS that it will be delivered in 6 WEEKS!!!!!! (way over my deadline) and the most damaging part, I had to block the account before knowing how long it will take to receive the paper that allowed me to change my SIM card number in their database. Now I have my internet banking blocked. I call the bank again and even after confirming all my details I am still told that the account cannot be unblocked. Furthermore, this nice lady tells me that the system sent me a letter to my old address. Fortunately I had a friend living at the old address so she could check the letter for me. I translated the paper today and I realized that the letter must be taken personally to ING office in order to receive this activation code for my account. ON top of that to make it even more pathetic it must be done only by the possessor of the card, which is me and I won't be in Netherlands for 1 full year. When I came here I was praising ING over Bank of America... not anymore.

Improvement Points:
1) Integrated TAN Codes with Internet Banking
2) Inform people before changing they request to change their address how long it will approximately take to receive this letter.
3) Make an easier option to unblock the account as I called withing 24 hours!
