We had walked a long way in the rain so we could enjoy a late lunch at this bar. Judging by the kiddies menu and toys in the games area and the warm and friendly welcome we had received on previous visits one would assume it was child friendly. Unfortunately we left the very quickly after only having one drink , no lunch , as the bar tender and his constant and unnerving staring (in a pub that only had three other customers in it) made us feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. We have been here three other times and have enjoyed the staff and the food, it's a pity one snarling disgruntled child hating git that had to work on a quiet Sunday has turned us off for good. Yes, I'm sure that will make that worker very happy - he's not tradional nor Irish I assume.

Nice Pub, had a few beers and a couple of meals here during 2017 Lions tour. Great staff with friendly welcome although one member of staff with bad attitude on one occasion spoilt the atmosphere a bit but we had just drawn the series so we'll let him off !! Still deserves 5 stars.

Great little location hidden down an alley way. Bar tenders were more than happy to serve a big group.

Whilst visiting Auckland we decided to lunch at this pub. The reviews were very good and we were not disappointed with the food, ambience and friendliness. The owner was absolutely accommodating as my wife had a number of allergies to various foods. The fish was cooked to perfection and the steak was great. I would recommend it to everyone.
