NO bags whatsoever, however small - not even a tiny bag with your passport and valuables. NO cameras allowed. Very snobbish. Undoubtedly a fine collection, and a very nice example of a visitor-hostile museum

Better go to the Museum of Ethnography of Geneva (MEG) which is new, big and FREE! It also has long opening hours.
But forget this Foundation Baur which is small, posh and disappointing.. Entrance fee 10 CHF is expensive for the very little they show. And opening hours very reduced : only from 14 to 18:00.
My god, this Baur Foundation is a wreck!! Forget it!

Their thematic temporary exhibitions are always fascinating, but for anyone interested in ancient Chinese jades and ceramics their permanent collection is a must see. Also very interesting is their collection of tsuba, netsuke and other traditional Japanese apparel.
