Hotel ibis budget Glasgow

Great hotel for the price. I travelled alone so the room was perfect for me but with shower that opens into room, can imagine it could be quite awkward if sharing room.

The bed itself is comfortable and the buttons for the lights at the beds was a good touch.

The ladies at check-in were lovely. There were more than willing to have a friendly conversation whilst they were getting my key cards ready.

The one big problem I had was the fact the reception was on the 6th floor. The issue with this is that I found about 10 kids (maybe aged about 13/14) which I presume were locals hanging around the entrance but with no staff there, they weren't getting dealt with quickly at all. They were being quite rude to some guests and played about with the lifts.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay at the Ibis budget Glasgow. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean.
Only downside really was the breakfast. It wasn't great (pastries were a little stale) and was over priced for what was actually on offer, we were also quoted 2 different prices; when offered breakfast the night before we were told it was £4 something each so we said yes to that. The next morning it turned out the breakfast hadn't been included when we paid and now was £5.50pp. A little confusing and disappointing.
Overall a decent stay though, and the bed was comfy.

Friendly staff, clean room and ideal for a one night stay.

Didn't get any sleep at all due to very loud guests. Constant screaming and game playing in both their room and hallway throughout the night and again at 8:30am.
Understandably, this isn't the hotels fault, but they didn't handle the situation well at all. They let the noise go on for far too long before confronting the noisy guests. I was considered confronting them myself, but ultimately decided against it, as they sounded very abusive.
No offer of a refund / compensation when mentioned at checkout.

Lovely breakfast that is fantastic value and has a good long running time to 12 midday.

I hope my future Ibis Budget stays are better...

No problems with the room or service. In fact, service was great. However, the 'budget' in the name is quite obvious with some aspects of this hotel. Painting in the rooms is quite poor (if you glance by the edge of the bed, they just decided to not paint it at all, plus it's splotchy throughout), the guest bathrooms have vending machines selling condoms and vibrators, only two bath towels with no face or medium size towels, no shampoo or conditioner, and accent lighting was falling out of place. Overall, great value for the price with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and well kept, which is what matters most.

Good access to M74 which was great for me. Car parking being available was a deciding factor for my choice of hotel, and there was plenty of it. Customer service on arrival and throughout was friendly and streamlined. The room was comfortable and a good size. Shower was amazing - ibis do like their big shower cubicles, one of my favourite aspects of their style and provision. My room looked east which allowed a view of the Clyde. Hotel was mostly really quiet and that was very welcome. I really missed not having a kettle available, but that would be my only criticism really. Ibis also care about secure access and this was no exception - needed key card to access the bedroom floors. All round a good stay and if I have the need I would be very happy to stay here again.
